I will visiting Nags Head the 1st week of Aug and was interested in dive info. I have an open water cert. and have about 20 dives in the Jupiter/Pompano area of Fl. What dive would be good for open water cert and what are the bottom temps that time of year?

Hi, I live in Nags Head. I haven't done a lot of diving here, although I'm about to start this summer, but I have done a lot of free diving. The triangle wrecks are popular for beginning divers. The surface water temps will be very warm that time of year(80+), but since most of our wrecks are around 100ft you will probably want a wetsuit for the bottom. I don't know if you've read up yet on your own, but here's a good link for info obxdive.com click the "nags head wrecks" link on the left. good luck!
