I had some work in Gulf Breeze today and decided to stop by the Pensacola shipyards on the way back to take a look at the Oriskany. 888' starts looking pretty damned big when you are close to it. Its a massive ship and its not completely stripped, like some of the liberty ships you can find here in the Northern Gulf. Super-structure is intact and there are several ledges on the boat that remain intact and should be great for housing fish and bugs alike. There are some obvious openings in the craft already that you can see directly through - they are large too - like you could drive a bus through em. Should make the wreck-divers very happy
Can't wait to dive this beast.
