I hate it when the Roto Tillers wreak havoc and mayhem on our favorite dive spots! I'm sorry for your luck but I'm glad they're up north, I'm in cave country enjoying 200+ viz!!! Not trying to rub it in...... AW who am I trying to kid...... Yes I am!
Tis the season. Warmest water of the year + late summer storms = algae + plenty of OW classes due to the warm surface and water temps + rain runoff = worst viz of the entire year. It happens every year. I actually typically solo dive at benign local quarries this time of year, whether I have a buddy or not! 
Diving in 2' of viz is ALWAYS solo diving.

NO VIS makes familiar dive sites fun again!
I personally love the way you actually loose your way at times and rely on the compass!
It reminds me of the clouds you see some times on Lake Huron one site is great the other about 10' or less.
Keeps it real and your skills fresh!

This was OW checkout dives, so we relied on following rope to the platform, then to a couple other sites. we blew off day 2 and will complete them later, when hopefully a little cooler weather will reduce the algae. It was the algae, not a rototiller in this case.

Thanks for the update. I have dived there with 5 foot viz. 2 Feet is rough.

Saturday the 17th it was up to about 5-6 foot vis. So, some improvement.
