Congratulations Thomas!
Thomas (Tom for his friends) is the lucky winner for the Week 11 of the eDiving contest. Tom is bringing home a set of Atomic Split Fins with spring straps.
This is what Tom had to say about eDiving: "I enjoy being able to eDive in places like the 100 ft. Yukon dive before I receive my advanced credentials. This will help me prepare for the day I finally get to dive the Yukon".
This Friday we are going to update the website AND release a new version of the dive simulator. As a result of this, this coming Friday the eDiving service might become unavailable for a couple of hours.
Please be patient ... it is worth it; the new package will have some nice new features - both in the dive simulator and in the web-site, such as the possibility to initiate a virtual dive directly from the web site, the "remember me" box for a quick launch, the "bubble trail" that shows You where You have been, the possibility to create Your own buddy list and to see where Your buddies are diving ... and an online guide too (requested by several members).
This week's prize is the XS Scuba - Equipment Package # 3 - Local Boat Package.
This month's prize is the KnightHawk BCD with Air2.
Instructors and Dive Shops, to qualify for the cash prizes ($500 and $1,000 respectively) make sure that your students do enter your eDive Instructor Code and/or eDive Shop Code when they register for the eDiving service.
The eDiving service is free to divers and currently allows eDivers to 'virtually' dive the following sites:
* Ship Rock, Catalina Island
* Isthmus Reef, Catalina Island
* Veteran's Park, Redondo Beach California
* The Avalon Underwater Park, at Catalina
* The HMCS Yukon in San Diego
* Vallecitos Point, La Jolla Shores
* Bird Rock, Catalina Island
Make sure to try out the free eDiving service before the eDiving Summer Contest ends on September 30, 2008 by going to http://www.ediving.us
