At least as old as 1956. That is the oldest catalog I have access to

No, I mean they are seen in the 1956 catalog and later.
So they would not be "at least" as old as 1956 but are "possibly" as old as 1956.

They were no longer offered in 1963, so best guess right now is at least 1956-1962. They could be older than 1956, however without an older catalog, it is just speculation.
