Does anyone know if the Viking Turbo Hood can be changed to the Magnum hood. ie. can you remove the inner latex hood and replace with a standard neckseal. I have a Viking Pro1000 with Turbo hood and find the inner full latex hood annoying.

Thanks

Yes, it is possible to make this switch. Not too many dive shops will have the experience with this though. Best bet is to take the suit to a Viking dealer and have them send it in. TPP US will remove the Turbo hood and just replace with a standard neckseal and Magnum hood. So you don't have to buy the Magnum hood part, just tell them to cut out the latex hood and install the neckseal. However, I unfortunately do not recall if the outer rubber hood will actually have to be removed to install the seal and then replaced. Question for their repair manager. Shouldn't cost more than about $100 to do.
