My buddy Jim Copher and I made a dive this past weekend in Hood Canal, located here in WA state. Water was in the mid 40s, 25' vis, usual stuff for around here.
The attached video recaps the dive, shows some lingcods, some rockfish and a wolfeel den. In there was a male and female guarding eggs. At about 2:00 into the video you'll see a very small and recently hatched baby wolfeel swimming in front of daddy's face. Enjoy!

nice vid mike love the baby wolf, I been feeding my wolfie and my buddy's his slurped salmon eggs after just a taste, mine was not hungry so I gave it to the octo.

What a great video. I live in Oregon and wouldn't mind trying Hood Canal, do you have any recommendations for lodging and dive locations?
I'm just getting into UW photography, seems like Hood has plenty to phototgraph. We're on the coast, but diving locally here is too hazadous.

Thanks Much

Mikes beach resort is north a bit but has a dive in front, there are a few dives south you can do first, sund rock then octopus hole, then jorstead creek, and then your at mikes beach resort.. Research Hoods canal dive sites.

Loved the wolfie... it's one species I have yet to see and film despite diving deep and cold waters here off SoCal.
