Adding to a must eat place, if you're into hamburgers and/or beer, although they have other items on the menu, is Tavern 1844 in Christiansted. Located on a side street, it is worth finding. You'll be surprised at the extensive list of beers they have....amazing. The beef they used for their burgers is outstanding. Only open in the evening, there are no reservations, so plan accordingly.

Although I like Coconuts Beach Bar for food/drink on the beach, there is a restaurant, that I can't think of the name of, that sits in the group of shops behind N2theBlue, close to the pier, that prepares home-cooked meals. Last time in St. Croix we requested that they prepare meatloaf for their Friday meal and they did. Ate there several times and everything was great. Both of these are in Frederiksted.
