Went to the bridge on a macro tryout. Used a combination of diopters. Forgot to set camera WB to Raw so ambient colors are sometimes not very good.

Equipment used:
GoPro Hero 3 BE
SRP tray and lights and arms
Three +10 macro/diopter lenses stacked
1080/60, Protune, WB auto

The trick is in the editing. Get the colors right and the rest is easy sailing. Maybe your camera settings need to be tweaked.

Here is the YouTube version. It has slightly better res (1080) and sharpness. The Vimeo conversion seems to have dulled some of the detail IMO.
