Hey guys,

I dive in Melbourne, Australia and the water temp gets gown to around 13degC in the winter, i have a 5/3 wetty and wondering if i wore a 2.5mm hooded vest with it i would be alright in the cold water? I can tolerate the cold pretty well in general.

Cheers,

james

I live in Canada and we often get temperatures like these. At12-15C, I usually go with my full 7mm and a hooded vest that is also a 7mm. I would think you'll be chilly with just a 2.5 vest on top of your 5/3. If you do not have one yet, maybe you could rent one and test it before you buy...
