I bit the bullet and bought a wristmount Versa Pro, based in part on research via this board (thanks to everyone).
The band that comes with the unit is *huge* and would fit my thigh reasonably well, I think, but is far too large for my wrist. I imagine that it is designed for use with a thick wetsuit but I plan to use it (at least part of the time) with a sleeveless shorty. Has anyone figured out a way to bungee mount one of these things since it uses a pin arrangement? Perhaps a better solution would be a cheap Timex velcro band?
