Can anyone help me find a small boat to rent for beach diving off of Venice Beach, FL this Sunday, Monday or Tuesday? Florida West charters seem to be all booked up, so that is not an option. I have never been before and it appears from reading the posts about fossil diving in Venice that it would be helpful to search several sites. I would appreciate any advice that you can give me. Thanks everyone.

There really is no need to rent a boat, there is very good fossil diving right from shore.

sglake is right...some of the best diving is right from shore...and a heck of a lot cheaper. If you insist on a boat rental, I've rented from here before. Boats are nice, but expensive. There's probably a rental place in Venice that would put you closer in order to save gas and time, but anyway you look at it, you're probably looking at around $350 with rental and fuel for a day on the water.
