Venice Beach Dive

November 13 Venice beach 2 miles off shore. Water Clarity was down to 3 feet. It was not good. I could not see the end of my speargun. I gave up spearfishing that day and just looked at the bottom for sharks teeth or anything else I could find . I did not find anything really nice.I found a section of a petrified Manatee rib bone and that was it . Waves where 1 to 3 feet .10 MPH east wind. I did see a lot of Huge gags , but by the time I seen them ,it was too late. I seen a Jewfish that could of gone 55 lbs easy . We did get a lot of fish three weeks earlier . Three Hog fish ,a Gag and 25 Grunts. Knowing that the Gag season will be closed on the 16th of November to the 31 of December stinks. OOOO wellll .Hopefully next Sunday we will check out the water Clarity.

Hey everyone
I went diving from my boat out two miles on the 13 of November 2011 off Venice and the visibility was almost zero. Winds where out of the East and the wind was blowing a good 10 mph .The waves where 2 to 3' .It was a beautiful day otherwise . I wish that people that dive all the time would put on the Internet what the water Clarity is off of Venice Florida when they get back .
