Not foolin'...
Man, it's been a long terrist season. I hit the beach yesterday like a penguin on Prozac. I stood near an hour in the shallow surf trying to gear up. Lost one new jet fin, and my DSS linecutter.
Then I drifted downwind and current while bouncing along the bottom in booties, on my back, trying to work out calf cramps (a double.) When I popped up for a bearing I was north of the condos, having started out south of 'em.
I frogged on my back until I could stand up, then worked my way back south for an exit.
When I got the gear back to the house and rinsed it all out, there were three nice teeth in my left glove.
Man, it's been a long time.
What a GREAT dive!
