The grommet holes most likely won't line up.
I have a Dive Rite backplate that is the same as a DGX. From the top grommet hole to the slotted hole at the bottom it is 10 1/2" to 11 1/2". The VDH website says the grommet holes on the wing are 9" and 12". VDH gives the option of ordering a Hog backplate with their backplate/wing package, so I assume their plates will line up.

What are you talking about? I have never seen a generic backplate like DGX, and generic wing of any kind that the bolt pattern isn't standard. Giving the plate has a slot at the bottom instead of holes, I can't imagine it won't fit.

The twe set of holes on the wing center channel is there to allow 2 mounting position (higher and lower) per user's preference. It is not there to try to fit different bolt pattern from backplates

Sorry I have to ask, have you used any bp/w?
