I used to smoke, for a long time. I have scuba dived while as a smoker but not as a vaper. Has anyone had any issues since they swapped from cigarettes to vaping?

I'm the same. Smoked for several decades and gave up about three years ago. I didn't want to hit the big 50 and still be a smoker. Some may frown on it, but vaping made all the difference. I've gradually lowered the nicotine levels and hope to be down to 0% soon.

The good news is my lung efficiency has improved 20% since kicking the habit, as proven by my annual HSE divers medical.

I know some people still consider it smoking. I don't and, more importantly, neither does my doctor!

@Graeme Fraser - just having a chuckle at your location. Any houses listed for sale near you in Narnia? I can go through the Wardrobe!!! ;)

Just got back from traveling to SE Asia with a buddy who uses a vap. Make sure if traveling you check local laws as vapes are illegal where we were. Maybe something to consider.

I know nicotine needs a prescription in Japan. I was more asking about any issues arising from vaping and scuba if any exist. I don't foresee any issues but thought I would toss the question out into the void.

If I were your doctor, I too would be delighted that you quit smoking and substituted a less toxic blend of stuff to inhale. I would also point out to you that the long term effects of vaping are at this time unknown and would encourage you to ween yourself off. Personally, I think the air we breath is polluted to some extent no matter where we live and would not want to intentionally add anything more to it.
I tried to attach a link to a respected medical source on the topic, but for the third time in a week I was unable to figure out how to attach files or links on SB.

Vape is way better than smoke as it does not contain tar or carbon monoxide. Nothing is better than both obviously.
