What is better, a knob that will shut on and off quickly with less than 2 turns, or one that takes multiple turns before it turns off?

Hyper-limits:
One that takes multiple turns to shut off.
Why?

If you are in overhead env or even just under a line of some sort and it somehow rolls the valve, it could get turned off if it only has a short "throw".

Hi,

Why? :06:
What is the advantages?

Having a long throw isn't going to do squat to stop having a rolloff. The difference between a short throw and a long throw is about 2-4 inches of contact. You need to be checking it after anyway with every contact so who cares?

I prefer short throw because its marginally faster to shut down in an emergency and doing valve drills won't give me hand cramps.
