There seem to be a lot of nice options in Europe, especially UK, for weights that can be attached to a backplate in various ways. From US vendors, I haven't found much besides shot pockets that would fit between doubles. Does anyone know of a supplier in the US for this type of product? I've scanned around the tech diving supplier web sites and haven't found much.

Thanks.

I think v-weight and tail weight are the same thing. You just take a piece of v-weight, but it off to the length you want and attach to the tail side of the lower bolt, isn't that a tail weight? At least I have been doing it that way. For short tank, HP100, you can get about 6lb in 1 piece there. Or you can get 12lb with 2 pieces.

I think p-weight is the one sits in the V of the backplate. For double diving in Cal water, this is uncommon. Most people need weight as low as possible.

Your profile doesn't give much info, so this may not be appropriate.

If you are rec diving, try a couple of XS Scuba Zephyr Pockets on your belt. YMMV

Deep Sea Supply makes weights for their own plates. I have one. Plate and weight totals 15 pounds.
