Well, this complete setup is great but more than I really need.


-Uwatec Smart Tec [less than 100 dives total], battery was recently replaced at Scubapro and at 92%
-Brand new screen protector [not installed as the one on it is just fine]
-User manual printed out an in .pdf form

-Two transmitters with recently replaced batteries and o-ring
-Extra batteries for the transmitter

-Uwatec Smartrak dongle [CD, cable, etc]
-Dongle cable extension

The pics of the screen look a bit scratched up/faded but that is mostly due to the flash of the camera being so close. The screen [backlight, buttons, etc] all work flawlessly and the current screen cover works great. Again, it just came back not that long ago from Italy at Scubapro where it had the full service and new battery installed [$120 plus shipping]

Does it need to be sent in each time it needs a battery change?

Yes, it does. They also do a full diagnostic and pressure check. I have also had the batteries last for 3+ years [I had a Uwatec Smart Z that I bought new in 2006...was a trade in for a broken Alladin Air Z...that had Uwatec giving me the new Smart Z for less than half price as they could not fix the Air Z, woo hoo!].
