I dive a Smart Pro Wrist and use the SmartTrak SW. Never used the DataTrak, but from the description just given, the SmartTrak does all of those functions, also. Not sure what version came with your bundle, but updates are available thru
http://us.uwatec.com/software/software_smarttrak.asp
looks like ver 1.0.3.22 is the latest

I've used both computers and I like the SmartPro better because it has more memory to save the profiles of up to 99 hours of diving. When I travel I dive a lot, and with the UltraPro I always lost the profiles of most of my dives. I also think the new software (SmartTrack) is a lot better and userfriendly than DataTrak, not to mention the hard time I had trying to get my desktop computer to recognize the Aladin UltraPro, the only way I was able to download my dives was in DOS, I had to open DataTrak in a DOS window, download the dives, save them to a logbook and only then open and see the dives in DataTrak for windows. I was never able to get windows to recognize that the dive computer was connected to the serial port.

hmm.. looks like the Smartrak is a more enhanced version of the Datatrak perhaps.. stormrider mentioned earlier that the datatrak comes with the discontinued ultrapro and thus it cld be an older software..
scububa: yeah u're right; i had a re-look thru my smartrak last night and it does seem to have all the functions of the datatrak... Overall i recommend this software, on non diving weekends when i'm suffering from "dive deprivation" i get a kick looking thru this software & goin thru my logged pics, graph, specs etc.. very well laid out user interface

So other than the PC interface issue, is the Aladin Pro Ultra a good computer?

I'm just a simple fun diver. I just need a computer to assist me during a dive.

I'm using Pro Ultra and I think this is a very good computer. But don't like small detail, they dont showing temp. on display.
