Uwatec Aladin Tec 2G Capsule Removal

Hi,

I recently bought an Aladin Tec 2G wrist mounted computer and the only draw back is the computer is a bit bulky. I intend buying a DSS mount with bungee but I don't know how to remove the capsule from the strap and I don't want to make bits of my new computer.

Does anyone know how to remove the capsule without making bits of it?

I know you asked this question a long time ago, but I just recently removed one of these from the mount.
Mine was brand new, so it was still pretty stiff. I held the rubber mount at the corners with both hands and slightly twisted to loosen it up a little bit.
Then I bent the top portion backwards while pressing the back (battery door) with my thumb and it popped right out.

Start carefully at first and don't apply any more force than you need to. Be patient and careful and you should be fine.

I too have a new Aladin 2G and would like to remove it... it appears there are 3 notches on the back of the strap. Are they meant for some tool to remove it? I've tried the brut force method, but it seems not to want to budge.

As a dive guide, I would submerge it in some very 'warm' water for five minutes or so then gently twist it back & forth. I have done this before with my Uwatec Prime. Good luck!!!

I have the Aladin Prime (same dimensions), I removed the straps, and threaded some bungee cord thru the holes where the strap pins used to be.

Tied the cord ends, and ready to go!

The only thing is that you have to use a bungee cord that is smaller than what those other mounts use, but I've used this setup for the past 6yrs and have had no problems whatsoever. I love it!
