UW Light Dude G6 Product Release

I've called a couple of the dealers and they said the lights aren't in stock. Saw the Gen6 release, but can't seem to find it. Anyone know when they're going to start shipping?

We have now shipped all orders to our dealers. I apologize for the delay. The week we released G6 my wife was in an auto accident that totaled her car. Since then I've had to find her a new vehicle, deal with adjusters, hire a lawyer since the at fault drivers insurance company is denying responsibility, and help my wife while she is recovering and going to a physical therapist. This unexpectedly took away a lot of my time working on getting lights built.

I appreciate everyone's patience.

@Bobby I'm very impressed with your battery pack and the heat controller I used in Antarctica. If I wanted to add one of your primary lights to my gear, what exactly would I need to be able to use the same battery canister (160 wh) and heat controller with one of your lights? Do I just need the light head and side gland cap? Thanks!

It may depend on which cap you purchased with your heat controller. If you purchased a stack cap on the heat controller, you can purchase the light in any cap you want. If you purchased the heat controller with an side gland or a normal cap, then the light head will have to be purchased with a stack cap.
You want to minimize change overs on these caps if at all possible, so you want the device that will essentially be "always on" the unit to be closest to the battery, and the ones that may or may not come off, to be on the end.
When everything of mine gets upgraded, I will have my primary head on a stack cap closest to the battery, then a vest controller on a stack cap as well, then my video light will be on a side gland. The video light will be the one that comes on and off somewhat regularly, so having it on the end requires the least amount of movement of the caps.

How tall are the different cans and the different glands/stack caps?

I'm looking for numbers that I can add together to figure total height for different combos of light caps and heat controller cap.

The standard cap is about 1", stack cap about 2", blanking cap about 1/4". If you need anything more specific than that, you'll have to ask @Bobby and hopefully that information can be added to the spec sheets.

I.e. a stack cap with a side gland is 3", a stack cap with blanking plug is 2 1/4",

So, a Tall with a side gland light head and a top gland heat controller would be about 11.4 + 2 + 1, or 14.4" tall, not counting the gland that is sticking out of the top?

And, adding a video light head to that would make it about 16.4" tall?

I can't remember what the normal cap is, but I wouldn't recommend getting a traditional top gland. Since there is no switch on the canister, the side gland actually routes better

Correct, you only need to order the primary with a Side Gland cap. It will go on top of your stack cap, on your heat controller, when you remove the blanking cap.
