Nothing from yesterday.
Front line passed through & seas were a bit too rough to find the boils.
Winds out of the South & seas fairly calm this morning, so should be a good day for them.

I made it to the island! Though No sign of them yesterday.. maybe it was a bit too rough to see them.. Hopefully today will be the day!

He's there, was just a bit too rough to see the boils on Thursday.

Guests aboard the Whale Shark Oceanic Center (WSORC) boat Friday afternoon encountered U629 again. So he is still hanging around :)

Be there Monday I can't wait! Hope the whale sharks are there then. How's the weather for next week looking? UTLgirl I'm staying at Deep Blue but if I get over your way I'd love to say hey.
thanks

If the Whale Sharks are active you will see the Utila Lodge boats. Once a boil and activity is spotted all of the boats kind of follow the boil and supposedly there is a cue system so that all boats can get divers in to the water to see the Whale Shark. Good Luck!
Swin with Deep Blue is the best boat captain on the Island. The weather cooperating is what you need to see the boils where the Whale Sharks are feeding.

The weather has been fairly calm, although a bit on the warm side with no breeze. Almost feels like we're under a LP system, although nothing is showing on the map. If it stays this way, you should have an excellent chance for them. U629 was spotted again yesterday both in the morning & afternoon, also had a few Mantas cruising through the boils.

You'll have an excellent time at Deep Blue regardless of a WS encounter. Steve, Jasmine & Shirley run a nice place, and Swin is certainly one of the best.

If you find yourself in town, stop by the Lodge. We're usually swapping fish stories around happy hour at the bar, or up at 'Da Roof' on top of BICD later in the evening.

Always happy to meet fellow Scubaboard members :)

Here's a bad pic of 629 that was seen on the 3rd. My little point and shoot camera was just overmatched, but you'll get the idea.
