We'll be in Utila for a week in March and I was wondering what sort of water temps to expect and if anyone has a suggestion for wetsuits. Will I be ok in a 3 mm doing multiple dives (3,4, or 5 a day)? Thanks for the help!

Thanks...also, are reef gloves suggested, allowed, etc. in Utila? Don't know I'll wear them, but I've heard some areas don't allow gloves, and was curious. Thanks!

It depends on the opeartion, but largely- no.

Lets see, dish washing gloves for touching washed dishes, cement gloves for handling cement, work gloves to protect your hand from blisters and calouses, reef gloves for.... Get the picture?

If you tuck a pair of gloves in your BC to hold the anchor mooring line, nobody will say a thing.

If you wear them while diving, well... gee... why would you need them?

If you say it's for thermal protection, nature and the design of your body would disagree. Wear a decent exposure suit if you are cold, wear a beanie or hood. That's where most heat is lost- NOT thru the hands or feet.
