Dark Side:
Indeed there are Sasquach.Don't want to knock the place, its just a bit too commercial for some, great for others. Each to their own.I have heard nothing unprofessional about UDC.

UDC V Reef Gliders, don't even go there Dark Side!!!!!!!!!!

70% of all UDC divers come from word of mouth referrals, not advertising expenditure, UDC provide a high quality dive experience and training that is unmatched (though often imiatted) by 'smaller shops' as you mentioned.

In any sport, business, industry etc. the most dynamic and successful will attract more clientele, that's a simple fact, don't knock it.

As a dive professional to go on a forum and disparage another organisation is clearly unprofessional.

Yes, Dark Side. I didn't hear you saying anything flaming. To each his/her own. That's why I suggested to the OP that they perform a search. LOTS of information spread around the forums about the islands and the dive ops.

Utila. Check out Cross Creek Dive Center. They are co-owned with UDC and have accommodations right on site. Same boats and some great folks to work with. Roatan West End is a nice place to visit, but I would definitely choose Utila for an extended stay for professional training. (I own no stock in either and had fun in both.)
