Just got back from the USS Bass and the Greciian with Red and Dave. Perfect sea conditions on both dives with vis on the Bass an incredible 60'. Vis on the Grecian was less in the 30-40' range. There was a torpedo ray on the Grecian that had to be 5' long.
The diving is just getting better and better.

Hey John,

It's a wonder that we didn't see you out there, we were in the same neighborhood. We hit the Acid Barge and the Idene yesterday. Same awsome vis, and one of our guys was treated to a Dolphin show while hanging! There were hundres of them around the boat at the Acid Barge. Best conditions in RI in a long time. Hope no storms come along and muck things up.

Yah, it was a great day. There didn't seem to be hardly anyone out there. Did you go on your boat? How was the acid barge? I've always felt it was a long ride to dive on a barge.

John

The Acid Barge was pretty nice, but I think it was the conditions that made it so. I agree with you, it is a long way to dive on a barge. Usually when I go all the way out there it's to hit the Bass; which is what I'll do next time. And yes, we used my boat. We were going to head out to MA, but with such favorable conditions forecast for RI we changed our mind. I was with Harry and another friend of ours, Jan. At the Idene I was at 40fsw and could look down the line to the hook and see the wreck! We could see a diver hanging at his 40 stop. It was incredible conditions for RI!

Regards,
Dennis

Sounds like it was more than worth the the long ride! The Idene and Grecian are both way up there on my list of wrecks I want to dive and haven't been to yet. I am definitely jealous! Glad you guys had such a great day.

Thanks, maybe we'll get together for a dive sometime.

Sounds good to me. I'll send you a PM sometime and see if we can put something together.
