Yesterday we headed out to the USS Arthur Radford with a private group for two dives on the new wreck.. 2.5 hours later we arrived, hooked in to the superstructure and the pool was open. The seas started off at 2-3ft but laid down to a nice 1-2ft swell. Vis was 10-30 ft depending on where you were on the wreck.. The Radford is already covered in mussels and there were a TON of Tog and Sea Bass swimming around! Another great day of diving out of Ocean City, MD!

Thats awesome!!!!
Were they juvies or did you see some big boys as well?
What was your temp on the bottom or TD that was recorded?
I wussed out this year and am not getting in untill the end of May.

This wreck is on my summer "to do" list.

I'm looking forward to next Friday's Radford dive. Not sure if I can get some nitrox around here, but what depth/mix have people been using on the Radford?

Steve

Hi Steve! If you need Nitrox we do have LP Steel 85 Tanks w/32% available for rent. Most people will use a 30-32% mix, the sand is around 130 feet but the majority of the wreck is 70-100ft down. Most people don't go all the way to the sand because their is so much more to explore @ 70-100ft.

Steve,

Submerged has the ability to fill any gas mixture you need all while you wait. We have 32% and AIR banked and have helium, oxygen, and argon on site with the ability to boost. Check out our website (www.submergedonline.com) for current costs. We have all sorts of rentals available too. We are located in Rockville, MD.
