Hello Progen, when I said top dial I was talking about the small wheel that controls Shutter speed in M mode, sorry if I confused anybody heheh. Yes I will keep you posted... I am diving this sunday so I will take the housing cameraless...we are doing three one hour dives @ 45-50ft depth. Hopefully the housing will stay dry and with no leaks in those dives. Then I am going diving on monday...I will take the camera if all goes well on sunday. :)

Me again...

Turns out I didnt have to modify que Fantasea blur ray tray I have for my older setup ( a Canon s95 in ikelite housing) and the strobe arm fits well and everything!! Looking forward to trying this in the next couple of days! :cool2:

Does the round knob beside the lens port control the zoom or the focus?

Controls the Zoom on the kit lens. MF option is not available with the housing. Did three dives today with the housing... 55' max No leaks, buttons were working well at depth. Happy with the results. Tomorrow I will do a shallow dive but I will take the camera and start testing it out. Hopefully I'll post some pictures tomorrow. So far so good with this housing :D

Deeper! Please go deeper! I'll probably be hanging around the 25 - 30 metre mark a lot where I am since that'll be the less visited areas and the marine life less stressed. Will be keen to find out whether the buttons will start sticking at around 70 - 80 feet. Can you post some of your photos too?

Ive found that "button performance" is also affected by the wear/number of dives on the housing. The springs get "sloppier" over time..

Does it look like it's something which might be user replaceable?

I havent tested this unbranded housing in particular, just other housings and Id say I wouldnt take the camera down the first time after attempting to change those spring mechanisms..

Then when? :D :D :D

Hello again!

Sorry for the delay... been testing out the housing... all working fine. Dove to a max of 75ft (22m); havent had to do a deeper dive, since most of my dives are for work. @75ft all buttons worked flawlessly not sticking to the housing or being un-usable. here are some pics ive taken, most @45-55 ft. All pictures were taken with the kit lens 18-55mm and the strobe setup I had previously posted here and processed in Lightroom for adjustments in whitebalance, shadows etc. ( i dont like to overprocess pictures so i left them to be pretty simple). I found that I like this lens (18-55mm) better than the 50mm prime lens since it gives me the option to zoom in for "macro" shots whereas with a prime lens, swimming close to a fish to get a close-up will just scare it away. I am pleased with the housing, and for 1K less than the Ikelite housing, I find it to be a good deal!! Any feedback on the pictures will be welcome :)
