Using technology to coordinate dives

This is where I thought a text message interface might be good, to support any old phone. Clumsy but well supported on old phones

It's probably because I'm with AT&T but sometimes I don't get a text until 24 hours later, sometimes even longer. I also only have a tiny ten key number pad so when I do receive a text I wait until I get home to answer it via email on my computer. I feel like I live at Jurassic Park.

Primarily use text and email, occasionally FB Messenger, but prefer the first two - everyone with a cell has text, and most have email.

I tried WhatsApp. Tried Line. Tried Twitter. Tried BB Messenger. Took all off of my phone because I refuse to use 12 different messaging systems concurrently. Completely unnecessary. Too much fragmentation.

As @RainPilot mentioned, Whatsapp is big here and I'm subscribed to a few groups.

Also (and something new to me,) there's a Whatsapp app for your computer, so by scanning the QR code from your phone it links to your account and you can see and answer messages from your computer.

It's pretty easy to arrange dives etc via electronic means but you just need to settle on one that suits everyone
