Using an image on signature

Ive seen some usernames with images in their signatures and i tried inserting one on mine, but it comes out in txt instead? is it a privilege thing to supporting members only? Pls enlighten me on this. thanks much.

Images are not allowed in signatures for any members.

can you give an example? Some people use stuff from the built in smilies, which don't really count as images in the usual way. Is that what you mean, like mine...

Signature lines must be limited to FOUR LINES with no images other than board approved smilies.

Of course, you can always lobby for more smilies...
