US warranty on Inon D-2000 purchased from Yuzo

I am considering purchasing the D-2000 from Yuzo (who is now back from holiday). Can anyone tell me whether Inon America will provide warranty service on items purchase from Yuzo?

Also - will I have to pay some sort of import taxes on items ordered from him?

I can't say about the warranty, I bought my D-180 from him before Inon USA was formed. But I have no doubt that Yuzo will stand behind it. It just means IF there's a problem, you'll ship it to him in Japan. I made the decison to buy from him vs the US dealers because of 1)Yuzo's proces and 2) the reputation of Inon. There have been no reports, at least that I can find, on problems with Inons strobes.

I've never had to pay any kind of custom or import fees to Texas.

I've bought lots of stuff from Yuzo without any problems. D-180, D-2000, arms, tray, lenses .... all shipped to California with no taxes charged.

No, Inon America will not provide warranty service on items purchased from Japan, even though Yuzo is an authorised Inon dealer. For warranty service you will need to send it back to Yuzo.
