I picked up some vintage diving gear and this knife is one piece of it.

Can any one date it ?

Blade is Stainless steel with this stamped on it " Made in France " and on the other side of the blade is " Stainless US Divers Corp " The handle is aluminum with letters on one side " C F M " inside a logo, with a letter " C " to the left of the logo. Has a 5 inch blade and a 4 inch handle.

Thank you,
Bill

It looks like their 1306 "Commando" knife. It first shows up in the 1955 US Diver's catalog, and it's no longer in the 1959 Catalog - so somewhere between 1955 and 1958.

That is correct it is a Commando knife sold from 1955-1958.

What is it worth ?

1306 COMMANDO KNIFE. Rugged all-metal construction. Non-bouyant. 4.95 (1957 US Divers Catalog)

In 2012 the knife would cost $40.75 (inflation calculator)

But what is it worth? WHAT EVER ONE IS WILLING TO PAY.
