I use DiverLog+ to communicate with my Oceanic VEO 4 over Bluetooth. I have no problem downloading dive logs nor upload settings between the DiverLog+ iOS app and the VEO. DiverLog+ notification indicates there is a newer firmware available for my dive computer but I was never successful on updating the firmware, it would always time out. Has anyone successfully updated firmware to their dive computer using DiverLog+ over Bluetooth? Or is this just VEO 4 specific bug?

I think I found my answer. When going through the DiverLog+ firmware update instructions for my dive computer, it says VEO 4.0 usb cable will be required using DiverLog Mac/Windows app, which is a different app on non iOS/android device. I find it strange DiverLog+ will download the firmware on to the mobile device and allows you to attempt to update the firmware over Bluetooth, but will never succeed. Oh well, I don’t want to spend $100 for a unique usb cable just for a minor update (latest update was for improved Bluetooth handling).
