SECONN Divers (seconndivers.org) will be hosting Dr. David Charash, this Wednesday 12/2, 6PM at the University of Connecticut Avery Point Campus Marine Sciences Building Room 103
Middle ear barotrauma is the most common diving injury. Dr. Charash wil be giving a presentation on otic (ear) barotrauma. This over view will include discussion on recognition and prevention of common dive realted injuries. The attendees will have the opportunity to visualize their eustachian tube function on the video otoscope.
Dr. Charash is Board Certified In Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is a NOAA Dive Medicine Physician, who practices hyperbaric and dive medicine in Connecticut. Dr Charash works with military, scientific, Comercial , scientific and recreational divers regarding dive medical fitness and dive related injury. Dr Charash teaches at the United States Coast Guard Academy and the United States Navy Submarine Base at Grotn on various topics related to Dive Medicine, and Dive Physics.
