Had one similar when I was a kid, but it had dual snorkels. One-upmanship, you know.
I thought it was cool because ya sorta looked like some kind of sea monster coming through the water.

Must have been early DIR!

Kim,
QUICK, Kiddo !!!! And a GOOD one too !!!!

These were around when I was a kid in the UK and thats over half a century ago. I seem to remember that the ones with the ping-pong ball valve were prohibited in the UK about 25 years ago after a series of accidents provoked by CO2 buildup.
Are they still manufacturing them or is this an ancient specimen?

Mike, I think they're kinda like you and me . . . . ancient specimens.

Actually I too used to have one - they were awfull! If I tried to take a breath sometimes the ball would get held against the hole by suction and I'd come up spluttering. I'm not surprised they were banned! I ended up removing the ball - it worked a little better that way.

Now they have a disclaimer warning "do not insert ping pong ball in nose"
