Waste what money on cave diving? Its not wasting.

These arent career options. These are ideas. It would be to build up contacts in the diving world and gain experience. Post grad not undergraduate.

Maybe I am not understanding your current educational level and what you are interested in marine science

Rock and roll. No, it will not be a cave diving vaction. Would be fun though. Maybe if I get a scholarship.

Masters, wouldn't be bothered by wasting a few more year doing my life doing a Phd just to return to 50,000 a year jobs. No point really.
