Greetings folks -

I was considering having a look at this site ...

The Underwater Channel (UWC) – Free to Watch Digital TV for the Diving Community

... but it requires downloading a video player called Babelgum. Who came up with a name like that!?? So anyway, after having spent a good part of the last month trying to de-bug our family's three computers and get them running smoothly, has anyone encountered problems downloading and running this Player on either windows XP or Vista? I cringe at the thought of lockups and crashes! Please, no "go Mac" sermons.

Any experiences?

Thanks!!

Hi Highdesert.

I've been using Babelgum for a while now (Windows XP) and not run into any problems. It downloaded quickly, doesn't seem to use up much space, and hasn't invited any viral nasties onto my PC. I haven't tried un-installing it, but I don't imagine you'd have any hassle.

The Underwater Channel has a lot of interesting videos and the Babelgum player (it's an online TV service in its own right) also has loads of nature / diving / travel stuff.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply! That's exactly the kind of info I was looking for ... I'll give it a shot later and see how it goes ...
