I'm was planning on make the trek to Gilboa for a fun dive and now I've got another reason to go. I'll attempt to bring a pumpkin but not sure if I'm going to be able to get it across the border, so may have to find a roadside stand on my way down.

Reminging BER... Doctor's recommendation after a hit and subsequent treatment.

Exactly, thanks! Not being able to dive is a drag. Especially this time of year. Maybe I'll carve a pumpkin in the bathtub. :D

My bad, I vaguely remembered reading about the hit after I posted that. Come out and carve on the surface with us! You know the surface support is the most important part especially for a night dive carting pumpkins around :D

STILL, why SPRING? Let's wait until summer when the water warms up!

If you're coming I can probably find room to cram another pumpkin in my car :D Hopefully it doesn't have to ride on my lap but if it does so be it! It would be an honor to have you!

Greatly appreciate the offer - but it looks like I may have a bit of a group coming with me (up to at least 3 confirmed) so far. If you have to have one pumpkin on your lap then chances of you brining a half dozen or so is likely slim. I think we should be ok bringing the pumpkins across (don't ask, don't tell).

LOL! Yes, a half dozen or so pumpkins stuffed in my HHR with all the decorations and supplies for the carving plus two 10x10 tents, my doubles, my check-out dive gear and supplies for student(s) plus camping gear for the weekend probably wouldn't leave room for me in the vehicle :rofl3: You won't believe how much stuff I can get in that car ;)

I see you have the "How to Pack Dive gear in a car" specialty rating too. I can fit a set of doubles, stage, camping gear, tents, food for a weekend, checkout material, plus have room for an OW student and their gear (provided they bring alum 63's and not 80's).

Probably won't stay for the night dive - gotta get back to the great white north for a discover scuba/b-day party for some scuba monsters on the following Sunday. But Saturday should be fun.

Last year Mike had some pumpkins there at Gilboa. Any chance he'll do the same this year?

Nope :D I asked him do that and had to estimate how many we needed so he could buy them and bring them in. I bought the ones that nobody else purchased since Mike had purchased them specifically for me. I was supposed to take them home but didn't have room for 15 left-over pumpkins in the car. Y'all are going to have to bring your own pumpkins :D
