Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest at White Star Quarry!

White Star Quarry invites you and your fellow divers to participate in the Fourth Annual White Star Quarry Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest. Come join us as we enjoy a fun day of diving and the challenge of carving a pumpkin underwater. If you participated in similar events in past years, you know how much fun it can be. With your help and promotion, the White Star Quarry Underwater Pumpkin carving contest will be just as much fun. On Saturday, October 30th we will gather together at the scuba concession pavilion at 11am for an Orientation and Rules. The diving will be starting shortly afterwards.

We have already received a number of prizes including, Day Passes for White Star, PADI swag, T-shirts and Hats Donated by WSQ, Divers Incorporated Air Fill Cards, New Wave scuba hats, books, Divers Inc. Swag, an Oceanic Dry Snorkel, Pinnacle Goodie Bag, and some other surprises. Prizes will be awarded for Judges Choice, Dive Related themes, Most Unusual, and other categories as we think of them. If you are a dive organization and have prizes to donate we would love to have them!

A Limited Edition 2010 Pumpkin Carving contest T-shirt designed and hand printed by me will be available to commemorate the contest.

Bumping this with a conditions update.. .should be about 60 degrees with 30 - 40 ft vis that saturday... Come join us for the fun...

If you aren't into pumpkins but want to help out.. .come out on the 31st for buoy day when we bring in the bouys and drop the platforms... you pay for diving but I pay for the air and nitrox fills if you help.

We will be bringing them in on October 31... all but one platform will be dropped and all the surface buoys will be brought in... if you want to come out for help, I pay the airfills, you pay the diving...

We will get started about 10am.. hope to see you!
