White Star Quarry invites you and your fellow divers to participate in the Third Annual White Star Quarry Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest. Come join us as we enjoy a fun day of diving and the challenge of carving a pumpkin underwater. If you participated in similar events in past years, you know how much fun it can be. With your help and promotion, the White Star Quarry Underwater Pumpkin carving contest will be just as much fun. On Saturday, October 31st we will gather together at the scuba concession pavilion at 11am for an Orientation and Rules. The diving will be starting shortly afterwards.

We have already received a number of prizes including, Day Passes for White Star, PADI swag, T-shirts and Hats Donated by WSQ, Divers Incorporated Air Fill Cards, New Wave scuba hats, books, Divers Inc. Swag, an Oceanic Dry Snorkel, Pinnacle Hats, and some other surprises. Prizes will be awarded for Judges Choice, Dive Related themes, Most Unusual, and other categories as we think of them.

A Limited Edition 2009 Pumpkin Carving contest T-shirt designed and hand printed by me will be available to commemorate the contest.

Hope to see you

Just updated the Rules! Here they are

Here are the Rules

- Pre clean your pumpkin

- You have to have a buddy and you have to fill out an envelope just like normal diving at the quarry.

- You have to dive with your entire pumpkin including the lid

- Once you surface you have to turn in what you have… (its all abut weighting and buoyancy control) and dive planning since you have to do it in one dive.

- You can't draw on your pumpkin until after the orientation.

Can't wait to see you there!
