Marty Snyderman Bio:
Little did Marty know as a boy in Little Rock, Arkansas, that he would grow up to be one of the premier underwater photographers in the world. Family vacations to Florida (along with a boost from Lloyd Bridges and Jacques Cousteau) got him interested in marine life. During college at Vanderbilt University, a presentation by an underwater photographer got him hooked. He immediately went out and bought an underwater strobe, reasoning that if he had the strobe, heÃÅ have to buy the camera too. Underwater photography became not only his livelihood, but his passion. Thirty years later, he canÃÕ imagine a better career. He says, Ÿith the possible exceptions of being an astronaut, submarine pilot or playing major league baseball, I feel like I have the best job on earth.
Residing in southern California, Marty is a still photographer, film producer, author and speaker specializing in the marine environment. MartyÃÔ still photography and/or writing has been utilized by National Geographic Magazine, Skin Diver Magazine, numerous National Wildlife Federation publications, Natural History Magazine, Dive Training Magazine, Sport Diver Magazine, Time, Newsweek, Time Life, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, New England Aquarium, Sea World, and Seattle Aquarium.
He currently serves as the Marine Editor for Dive Training magazine. Here is a link to many of his articles on Underwater Photography from that fine magazine (Dive Training Magazine Scuba Diving Careers)
