Aqua Buoy:Thanks for pointing out the link - looks very impressive indeed... since this things will probably be near (or on?) a reef or some other interesting underwater feature with lots of sea life (I suppose putting it on an entirely barren plain or sand or silt would defeat the purpose) I wonder...
- what the environmental impacts will be and how they will be dealt with?
- Also, they'll probably also need to cover a lot of the thing with anti-fouling paint (as there are no friendly alternatives that exist) to prevent it getting stupidly fouled, which is extremely damaging to marine life.
Don't mean to be a hippie, but as a marine biologist I have my doubts and would like to see such issues addressed... any thoughts?
