Just as a thought, how hard would it be to get a permit to put waste into a quarry, like culverts, boat moulds, old steel framing or the like that people usually pay to have landfilled, but could be used on this type of project?downunderjenn:We also move stuff around our site and put stuff down to look at. Things of amusement: fire hydrant and toilet. I think an excavation grid with planted "artifacts" would be fun too. I would really like to see a course built for buoyancy. Everything we have is navigation oriented. I'd like some walls and swim throughs to practice in, but that's a setup that requires time and money. It could be accomplished with pvc frames.
freewater descent and ascent at 10' per minute. holding 10 foot stop for ten minutes without finning. swimming one foot off the bottom without stirring the silt. maintain touch contact with dive buddy for practice with eyes closed. air shares without losing position in column. writing messages back and forth(legible). shooting lift bags/smb's without losing position. valve drills.ASUPaula:I love diving in the local quarry, even after venturing out into the warm waters off the Florida Keys, but I'm wondering if there are games or activities that might spice up repetitive dives in the same location.
