I don't know, but when I saw the title of this thread I was hoping it related to the general topic. When I got certified back in the mid-70's there was this whoopie cushion like bag thing that you inflated, and then spoke into underwater. You could hear the speaker's voice astonishingly well. I've never seen one since.
Back in the 80's I was working at a dive shop and a company wanted us to test a communications device. It attached to the second stage and you would move the reg from your mouth and talk into it. It was a silicone dome with a metal point. (Which looked like a re-purposed 38 caliper bullet) if you were within about 6 feet you could actually hear the other diver. Not sure if the product ever came to market.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and ran 1964-1068 on TV, and was a 1961 movie.
I'm showing my age, but I loved that show especially the flying Sub. Another Diving show you might have forgotten about was produced by Ivan Tors called Primus (he also produced Flipper) as a kid I remember being taken to the drive-in to see Flipper ...that probably started my interest in Diving plus Sea Hunt. I was lucky enough to meet Lloyd Bridges at Beneath the Sea quite a few years ago.
