I don't know, but when I saw the title of this thread I was hoping it related to the general topic. When I got certified back in the mid-70's there was this whoopie cushion like bag thing that you inflated, and then spoke into underwater. You could hear the speaker's voice astonishingly well. I've never seen one since.
 
Nice typo. It was Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and ran 1964-1068 on TV, and was a 1961 movie.
Which are you referring to?

Added: there was no diver-to-diver wireless communication system in the early 60's.
It was a science-fiction show. Not everything in it was true.
