Undersuit socks question

Hello everyone, just have a question regarding undersuit socks. I have the fourth element artic trousers and top, I was just wondering if you wear your socks over your trousers or on your feet first and put the trousers over them?

Base layer, then socks (wool), then undergarment. If you're using fluffy undergarment style socks then those go on over the legs of the lower portion in my experience.

can be either, but socks over pants leaves less bunching of the lower pant legs near the ankles in my experience
