Why not just get one of the wide angled adapters? You could probably even rent one for your shoot. Century makes some decent ones. Some of the others get awfully pricey!

If you can change lenses at ALL on your HD camera, you're shooting with a select few cameras. If it was a 2/3" you wouldn't be balking about the cost of a lens. So that narrows things down even futher!

I'll be quite interested to see what you come back with. :)

Well, I have sony FX1 camera and bluefin housing.
I do not think there is room in the housing to fit anything between camera lens and housing (but I could be mistaken here)

there is L&M 80 degree angle which I think is perfect, but I just am not shooting that much video that needs it that I can quite justify the cost (especially after buying the camera, housing, lights, scooter, 3 trips to Mx ... )

I tried to get globaldiver to sell me just his lens but he refused me. They are pretty scarce on the ground too, so it's hard to pick one up used.
