Apparently, it's been around for a couple of years. Has anyone seen one? The article doesn't include pics, and I've never seen one around here, or on my trips to Mass.

It looks like a burn. Very deep red in an area. I never thought much about it, especially after the shell was in the bucket and the meat in the butter :-)

I guess I don't discriminate.... :-)

I've seen some, and have to wonder if a cosmetic disease like that might actually be good for the population. I mean, if it's non-fatal, and results in lobsters that are undesireable on the market, that means more lobsters left to reproduce, right?
 
"Ugly lobster" ... ha, that is funny. I never thought lobster
were attractive.

Of couse, beauty IS in the eyes of the beholder. :eyebrow:
