American isn't the only one that likes to screw people over. Once a United, less than 8 hour flight (Bon=> Newark => Albany), became a horror - Bon =>Huston => Detroit => DC => Newark => Albany. Obviously I said eff that and rebooked.

Now you can't even do that. Every flight on every airline requires overnight both ways - though I haven't gone to the trouble of trying connections through Aruba or Curacao and different airlines each way. That's for an fare that is vaguely reasonable.

There are flights with reasonable times there and not great but not horrible times back - the cost for those flights is outrageous. $2000+ for "economy". It seems the same for Aru & Cur.

Bonaire has become a no go. At least for now.

perhaps look into flights to / from curacao. a lot more options. might work out better even with having to do an island hop over to bonaire. just a suggestion.

Hop to Curacao or Aruba then fly Air Canada direct to YYZ. American changed the schedule so they must refund your ticket if they can't complete your flight as scheduled.

must be missing something...all the flights from toronto to aruba on air canada are overnight and all the flights via curacao are twice the price of the refund we would get from American... ...american are pushing us to just take a refund as any alternative is over twice the price we paid and still an overnight flight...

Hang on, apparently the air canada/curaco flights only fly on sundays and are over $1000 each, before you even do the hopper from bonaire...
