Gunther's Wrecks aka Snoopy Deep?

New Reef

Most dive sites have meaningful monikers.
Martini Rock
Hole in the Wall
Anemone Gardens
Martini Wall

Chief in charge of naming appears to have had a lapse of sorts when discovering New Reef.

Eh, jus' kahl et new reehf

Where is "New Reef"?

Just after Old Reef - you can't miss it. hahaha

Its between Alaqah and Dibba. About ten minutes out.

Dived Dibba rock and Sharq island yesterday.
Nice.pleasant. Nothing ultra-spectacular.
And Sharm Three Rocks at night.

Saw a lot of Sauron shrimp.
Heaps of nodding turtles and one that I'm afraid we woke from slumber.

UV light always fun.
Make sure you guys get a true UV light and not a blue light.
A fellow diver had what she thought was a high end UV light.
It was essentially a blue light with some UV.

This morning we dived deep reef and inchcape one.

Saw razor fish.
Never seen razor fish in the UAE.

We have a "Deep Reef" down off Fujairah (30m).

Today we did Paradise Reef off Kalba, nice turtle spotted when we reached the bottom (28m), would have been nicer if I didn't have a macro lens in situ, but anyway a pleasant surprise.

Found this shrimp similar to your shots @hedonist222

Second dive on Inch 10, quite a few nudis around and the squat lobsters I spotted a month ago are still there.

Temperatures are warming up a bit, 25C at the safety stop on Inch 10, but still 23C on the bottom.

AKA shrimpfish? They seemed to be fairly common at the eastern side of Dibba Rock.

Could be the shrimpfish species.

Certainly like razorfish. Swimming flipped and vertically.

Eastern side of Dibba Rock, meaning the area between the shore and the Rock itself?
Where they planted a UAE flag?
Shallow bit where black-tip reef sharks like to graze?

Sorry Iforgot to reply to that observation earlier.

Seen razorfish on Cauliflower Gardens off Dibba as well as on Deep Reef off Fujairah. I'm sure I posted some photos on this thread in the past

It’s where you would start a boat dive having the seaward side of the rock to your left.
